ObituaryMay 30, 1974  OBITUARY: MONTGOMERY CENTER - Carmi W. Levis, 84, died Tuesday at his residence following a long illness.

He was born in Fairfax, Feb 28, 1890, the son of James and Ekizabeth (Reed) Levis. He was a resident of Montgomery most of his life and retired from farming in 1968.

Mr. Levis was a member of Missisquoi Lodge 9, F&AM, of Richford.

He leaves three sons, Ralph W., Carmi Jr. and Clinton W. of Montgomery Center; four daughters, Mrs. Ralph (Hallie) Grant of Fairfield and Misses Helen M., Ida M. and Beverly M. Levis of Montgomery Center, a brother, William Levis of Montgomery; a sister, Mrs. Evelyn Broe of Richford; two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Spears Funeral Home, 14 Orchard St., Enosburg Falls, Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 at the funeral home with the Rev. James Gilbert officiating. Interment will follow in the family lot in the Montgomery Center Cemetery. Spears Funeral Homes is in charge of arrangements.
