ObituaryJan 29, 1982  OBITUARY: MONTGOMERY - William M. Levis, 84, died Thursday morning at the Burlington hospital following a long illness.

Mr. Levis was born in Montgomery March 8, 1897, the son of James and Elizabeth (Reed) Levis. He was a lifelong resident of Montgomery and owned and operated a farm there for many years, retiring in 1964. He was a 25-year member of the Montgomery Grange 548.

He is survived by his wife, Florence (Touchette) Levis; one son, Robert Levis of Morrisville; two daughters, Mrs. Ami (Evelyn) Brouillette of Montgomery and Mrs. Richard (Joyce) Prout of Amherst, Mass; one sister, Mrs. Evelyn Brow of St. Albans; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Fiends may call at the Spears Funeral Home, 14 Orchard St., Enosburg Falls, Saturday afternoon from 1 until 2 and then funeral services will be held at 2 at the funeral home with Rev. Herman Waits officiating. Burial will be next spring in the Montgomery Center Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, friends may make contributations in his memory to the Enosburg Home Health Agency, in care of Mrs. Edith Bauer, Enosburg Falls, Vt. 05450.2
