Obituary | Nov 22, 1918 | OBITUARY: James Miner Brown, 25 was the son of George W. and Katherine Brown (Mrs. G. F. Coburn) James M. Brown died in a hospital in Troy, NY, November 6, pneumonia being the cause of death. The body was brought to Windsor November 14, and buried in Ascutney cemetery. L. F. Cabot had charge of the services and a sermon at the grave was said by Rev. J. W. Rafter. The deceased was born in Middletown, CT. and educated in the public schools of that city. He was a painter and paper hanger by occupation. He was loved dearly by his relatives and generally liked by his friends as he had a happy disposition. Mr. Brown was in the 25th year of his age. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. G. F. Coburn of Windsor; brother, George W. Brown; sister, Dorothy Brown; father, George W. Brown of Bellows Falls, VT; and by two married sisters, Mrs. J.P. Gilmore of Syracuse, NY and Mrs. M. A. Vassar of Bellows Falls, VT." Obituary from the November 22, 1918 edition of the Vermont Journal.4 |
