ObituaryApr 12, 1955  OBITUARY: Mrs. Mary Matilda Holt Bailey, 90, widow of Joseph Corprew Bailey, died at a Norfolk hospital Sunday at 10:25 p. m. following an illness of 10 days. A Native of Moyock, N. C., she had been a resident of Norfolk for 38 years. She was a daughter of Dr. Thomas C. and Mrs. Mary Lamb Holt. She resided at 216 34th Street.
Mrs. Bailey is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Jerome B. Eason, Sr., Mrs. B. T. Harrison, and Mrs. Clinton H. Robins, all of Norfolk, and Mrs. Edward T. Lassiter, of Blackstone; eight grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Cox Funeral Home tomorrow at 11 a. m. by the Rev. Roland P. Riddick, pastor of the Park Place Methodist Church, and the Rev. Harold A. Maimborg, pastor of the Freemason Street Baptist Church. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
