ObituaryFeb 8, 1968  OBITUARY: Addie Valera Shiflett [Mrs.Henry Zermie Shiflett] of Boonesville, died in a Staunton Hospital Februay 7 1968. She was 82. She was born July 12 1886. She was a life long resident of Boonesville. She was the daughter of the late Edward and Cordellia Via. She is the widow of Henry Zermie Shiflett. She was also preceded in death by a son Alonzo Shiflett. Surviving are two sons Clarence Shiflett of White Hall and James Shiflett of Vienna. Five daughter Mrs.Claude Herring of Baltimore, Mrs Raymond Walton of Westminster Md. Mrs. Nellie Via and Mrs Violet Hedgpeth of Charlottesville and Mrs Carrie P. Shiflett and one brother Gallie Shiflett of Crozet. One sister Nattie Morris of Crozet. 35 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held Friday in the Prize Hill Church with burial in the Church Cemetery. Preddy and Teague Funeral Home are in charge of arrangement.
