| Obituary | Apr 27, 2016 | OBITUARY: KING GEORGE - Jeannette W. Rountree passed away peacefully on April 17, 2016, at the age of 81. Raised in Scotland Neck, North Carolina, Jeannette married the man of her dreams and spent 52 years by his side living in Williamsburg, Virginia. Jeannette was a charter member of Walnut Hills Baptist Church and active in the community for over 40 years. She had a love for flowers, and her arrangements often won her ribbons with the Birchwood Garden club. Jeannette enjoyed her trips to her family's beach house, where she collected sea shells and to the mountains of North Carolina and Virginia. Jeannette had hobbies that included needlepoint, sewing, gardening, baking and mall walking. She was a very special woman that loved life and loved people. She was a social butterfly. Jeannette is preceded in death by her husband Ralph M. Rountree, son James D. Rountree, parents Aline Hancock and James E. Wommack. She is survived by her daughter Sharon K. Wolf and her husband Troy Wolf of Kings George, Va., A sister Joan Dudley of Scotland Neck, North Carolina and sister-in-law Evelyn Lassiter of Sunbury, North Carolina.
