ObituaryFeb 1, 2011  OBITUARY: EAST WALLINGFORD - Celina "Sally" Garrow Hawkins, 83, of East Wallingford, died on Sunday, January 30, 2011, at her home, following a brief illness.

She was born in Rutland, November 30th, 1927, the daughter of Frederick Edward and Marie Ida (Bulley) Garrow.

Mrs. Hawkins was raised in East Wallingford, attending local schools and graduating from the Wallingford High School with the class of 1946.

She was married on August 21, 1948, in Wallingford, to Vern Hawkins who predeceased her on January 23, 2009.

Mrs. Hawkins was a member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church and a member of the Rosary Altar Society.

Prior to retirement, she was a longtime employee of the Rutland Hospital‘s administrative services department.

Survivors include two sons, Thomas Hawkins and his wife Linda of North Clarendon, Jeffrey Hawkins and his wife Sharon of Fort Oaks, N.C; four grandchildren, Kimberly Hawkins Bauer of Clarendon Springs, Andrea Lynch of Castleton, Bret Hawkins of Garner, N.C., Chrissie Hawkins of Salt Lake City, Utah; a great-grandson, Paden Lynch of Castleton; and by several nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband, Vern, she was predeceased by a brother, Roland Garrow.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, February 3rd, 2011, at the St. Patrick Church in Wallingford. A reception will follow at the St. Patrick Church Hall.

Burial will be at a later date in the St. Patrick Cemetery.

There will be no calling hours.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Wallingford-Aldous Funeral Home.
