Obituary | Jan 16, 1995 | OBITUARY: WINCHENDON - Dexter H. MacQueston, 75, of 300 Hale St., a retired design engineer, died yesterday in his home. He leaves his wife of 50 years, Pauline M. (Hebert) MacQueston; two daughters, Jean L. LaFortune of Winchendon and Carol A. MacQueston of Watertown; two sisters, Myrtle Eklund of Cincinnati and Elizabeth Arlig of Winchendon; three grandchildren; a great-grandson; nephews and nieces. He was born in Winchendon, son of Herbert S. and Euphemia (Brown) MacQueston. He graduated from Murdock High School in 1937, and from Fitchburg State College in 1961. Mr. MacQueston was an Army veteran of World War II. Mr. MacQueston was a design engineer at Goodspeed Machine Co., retiring in 1990. He previously worked at Barkley & Dexter Co. in Fitchburg, and at Baxter D. Whitney Co. He was a member of Eugene M. Connor Post, American Legion. He enjoyed gardening. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Fletcher Funeral Home, 70 Pleasant St. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Calling hours are 7 to 8:30 p.m. tomorrow at the funeral home. Members of Eugene M. Connor Post, American Legion, will meet at 8 p.m. tomorrow in the funeral home to conduct a service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Winchendon Ambulance Fund, care of the Winchendon Fire Department, 405 Central St., Winchendon, 01475.
