Obituary | Jul 23, 2011 | OBITUARY: Aubrey Vieta, age 83 years, died Friday July 22, 2011, at the St. Albans Health and Rehabilitation Center, with his family by his side. He was born In Oakland, Maine on July 20, 1928, son of the late Alexander and Sybil (Real) Vieta. On July 8, 1953, he married the former Janet Cantell after returning from the Korean War. He was a longtime resident of East Highgate, raising five children and working at Rock-Tenn in Sheldon. Aubrey leaves three sons; Gary and his wife Pat, Carl and his companion Diane Beauregard all of Franklin, Peter of St. Albans and a daughter Gail Bronchuk and her husband Daniel of Swanton; brothers, Alexander Vieta Jr. of Winslow, Maine and Edwin Vieta of Oakland Maine; 7 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Besides his parents, Aubrey was predeceased by his wife Janet of 51 years; two brothers Louis and John Vieta; a sister Nellie McCann and a son Paul Vieta. In keeping with Aubrey's wishes funeral services with full military honors will be private and at the convenience of the family. The Reverend Anne Torrance Bachmann will officiate.
