ObituaryNov 3, 2011  OBITUARY: Dr. Robert M. Jr. "Bob", 83, of Highland Lakes, Palm Harbor and former Vermont and Grand Cayman resident, passed away away from leukemia on Oct. 21, 2011, in Palm Harbor. Dr. Book, a chiropractor, practiced in Vermont for over 25 years. While in Vermont, he and his wife Barbara Moore had three children. They divorced and he later married Virginia Manning. In the 1980s, they moved to Grand Cayman where he continued his chiropractic profession. He loved his 15 years on the island. They moved back to the U.S., living in Palm Harbor and Lake Bomoseen, VT. She died in 2007. Dr. Book was a Marine Reservist, an attendee of the Kirk of Dunedin Christian Church, and a member of the Palm Harbor Kiwanis. Dr. Book is survived by his two daughters, Susan Cowan of Montpelier, VT, Anne Greenberg of Norwalk, CT; three grandchildren, Kimberly Cowan of Burlington, VT, Madison Cowan of Montpelier, VT, and Artie Greenberg of Norwalk, CT. He also leaves in mourning his two sisters, Audrey Becker and Barbara Gault, and several cousins; nieces and nephews in Michigan; his late wife's children and families, Linda and her husband, David Morley of Meriden, CT, Steve, and his wife Betsy Manning of Madison, CT, and Mary, and her husband David Nelson of Burlington, VT; and his dear friend Mary Robe. He is predeceased by his parents and his son, Robert M. Book, III. His memorial service will be held at 11am on Nov. 5 at The Kirk of Dunedin Christian Church, in Dunedin. Those wishing to honor his memory may make donations to the Dr. Robert M. Book, Jr. Tribute Fund, c/o Alumni Association, National University of Health Sciences, 200 East Roosevelt Road, Lombard, IL 60148.
