She was born in Richford, VT, July 18, 1897, the daughter of Lyman A. and Alice (Lucia) Cantell.

Besides her husband, she leaves two daughters, Mrs. Ethel DeCrosta and Mrs. Samuel (Gladys) Murell of Hudson; one son, Maurice Mitchell of Hillsdale; three brothers, George Cantell of Enosburg Falls, VT., Lloyd Cantell of Hancock, VT, and Nelson Cantell of Sheldon Springs, Vt; six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
