Information found on the Putnam family in the book "The Pioneers of Massachusetts" by Charles Henry Pope, found on page 376., published by "The Baltimore Genealogical Publishing Co. 1965 - Arrived from England, United Kingdom in 1634, in 1640 received a grant of 100 Acres of Land in Salem Village (Now Danvers, Mass.) He became one of the principal landholders there Deputy to court, Military Service, was admitted to Church 4, Feb. 1647.
