| Obituary | Mar 4, 2023 | OBITUARY: Boscawen, NH - Thelma Mae (Quebec) Long, aged 85, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 3, 2023 at Epsom HealthCare Center. The seventh of nine children, she was born on January 28, 1938 in Swanton, VT, the daughter of Charles and Mildred (Warner) Quebec. Thelma graduated from St. Anne's Academy in 1956 and soon after moved to New Hampshire. Thelma was employed by Tilton Dress Company in Franklin for 30 years, then moved on to Crow Hill in Franklin, and Freudenberg-NOK in Bristol until her retirement. After retiring, she still continued as a "foster grandmother" at St. Paul's School in Franklin, and another school in Concord. Some of her favorite things were giraffes, Elvis Presley, gifting Christmas and birthday presents, and spending time with family when able. She also enjoyed dancing, going to the beach, traveling, especially to Las Vegas, going to the races in Loudon, and just having fun. She was a great mother and grandmother and will be truly missed. Thelma is predeceased by her great-grandson Austin Cote, her longtime companion Jim Cronin, and her siblings; Donald Quebec, Elaine (Quebec) Sullivan, Helen Quebec, Lola (Quebec) Jettie, all from Vermont; Nancy (Quebec) Van Vliet, of La Colle, QC, Canada; Patricia (Quebec) Bradley, of Franklin; and Sheila (Quebec) Lavigne of New Boston. She is survived by her daughter, Penny Clark and husband Dwight of Henderson, NV; grandson Jeffrey Cote of Laconia; granddaughter Jacqueline Clark of Henderson, NV; sister Carla (Quebec) Cahill and husband Tom of Strafford; Goddaughter and niece Carolyn Miller of Franklin; Mystique Mara of Laconia, who was like a second granddaughter; and many, many nieces and nephews. SERVICES: No formal services will be held. A scattering of ashes on the Isle of Shoals will take place at a later date.2 |
