ObituaryAug 2, 1978  OBITUARY: MORRISVILLE, VT -- Carl R. Meiggs, 39, died at the Copley Hospital Monday afternoon, July 31, 1978, following a brief illness.

He was born in Canaan, July 20, 1939, the son of Clarence and Vera (Camber) Meiggs. He was married to Mary Cole in Hardwick Aug. 11, 1966. He was employed by Pratt-Reed Corp. of Morrisville.

Besides his wife he leaves five children, Sharon, Cindy, Geneva, Bonnie and Clarence, all of Morrisville; a step-mother, Mrs. Laura Meiggs of Woodbury; two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Meiggs of Bare and Mrs. Gordon Pond of Northfield; four brothers, Arthur, Almont and Harry Meiggs of Barre and Leo Meiggs of Massachusetts; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon, August 3, 1979, at 2 p.m. at the White Funeral Home in Morrisville with the Rev. Albert Strobel officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home this evening from 7 to 9. Interment will take place in Mountain View Cemetery, Morristown Corners.
