Obituary | Jan 19, 2022 | OBITUARY: Fairfield VT – Lola Anne Jettie, age 82, passed away on January 16, 2022, at UVM Medical Center surrounded by her family. She was born in Highgate on January 11, 1940, to the late Charles and Mildred (Warner) Quebec. Lola was married to the late Edeas (Eddie) Jettie on November 15, 1958. Following 44 years of marriage, he predeceased her on December 19,2002. Lola’s focus was always on her family. She had a steadfast can due spirit exemplified in learning to drive in her 40’s and overcoming medical challenges. She was employed by the Peoples Trust Company and US I&NS. She is survived by her children: Cindy Metayer (Wyman) of Franklin, Mary Lou Jettie (Patrick Miller) of Belvidere, Maurice Jettie (Michelle) of Fairfield, Timothy Jettie of Fairfield, and Christina Rublee (Douglas) of Libby MT. Lola was especially fond of her grandchildren; Ryan, Michael and Raymond Metayer and Grace Mayor; Lou-Anne Wood and Jessica Dittmar; Derek, Nicholas, and Carrie Jettie; Krista Florio, Hollie Curtis, Kattie, Chris and Cody Jettie; and Dylan and Bethanne Rublee. She was a beloved Gigi to 14 great-grandchildren. Her surviving sisters are Thelma Long of Boswana, NH and Carla Cahill (Tom) of Strafford, NH. She was also predeceased by her brother and four sisters. In keeping with the family wishes Lola’s Life Celebration will be in the spring at Saint Patrick’s Catholic Church with interment at Sheldon Village Cemetery.
