ObituaryNov 6, 2017  OBITUARY: Harold D. York, formally of Henry County, VA was born in Kermit West Virginia on April 22, 1944. He was 73 years old when he passed peacefully on November 4, 2017. Beverly York was his wife of over 40 years and preceded him in death as well as his parents Harold and Marjorie York. Harold has three daughters, Stacy Wagoner of Phoenix, AZ, Cynthia Biggs and husband Eddie of Abingdon, VA, and Stephanie Freeman and husband Michael of Mountain Valley, VA. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and was the eldest of eight siblings; Kay Graf of Allentown PA, Ronald York and wife Gaye of Fayetteville NC, Larry York and wife Mary Lou of Hatfield PA, Jean Yiengst and husband Greg of Hanover PA, Denise York of Flagstaff, AZ, David York of Telford, PA, Judy Brogden and husband David of Union, ME.

Harold served our country in the United States Army as a military police and was a retired diesel mechanic foreman. He had a love for semi trucks, cooking, woodworking and also enjoyed farming, loved animals and was a proud papa to his six grandchildren. Harold attended Valley Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Valley Chapel Pentecostal Holiness, 201 Breckenridge Circle, Axton, VA 24054
