He was born Dec. 9, 1956 in Newport, a son of Woodrow Pike and the late Marjorie (Diebel) Pike. Mr. Pike was an aspiring writer and poet. Among his hobbies, he enjoyed fishing, playing cribbage, and he was an avid Boston Red Sox Fan. He struggled with cerebral palsy all of his life.

He is survived by his father Woodrow Pike of Newport; his step-mother Annette Pike of Newport; two brothers: Steven Pike and his wife Linda of Swanton, Andrew Pike and his companion Sandi Ladd of Newport; a sister Sharon Pike of St. Johnsbury; a step-brother Richard Menard and his wife Carmen of St. Johnsbury; two step-sisters: Patricia Williams of Newport, and Nancy Menard of Houston, Texas; and by numerous nieces and nephews from around the country.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 8, 2008 at the Curtis-Britch-Converse-Rushford Memorial Chapel, 37 Lake Road, Newport with Pastor Richard Menard officiating.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of the funeral on Saturday Nov. 8, 2008. Interment will follow in Irasburg Cemetery.

Should friends desire, contributions in his memory may be made to the Cerebral Palsy Association, 1660 L. Street, NW, Suite 700, Washington, D. C. 20036-5602.
