He was born on March 20, 1928, in Rutland, son of Patrick J. Keefe and Agnes Cummings Keefe. He was a graduate of Mount St. Joseph, Class of '46. He served his country honorably as a member of the U.S. Navy from 1948 to 1952. For many years he was an active member of the South Burlington Kiwanis Club. He enjoyed a good game of cribbage and poker. For 35 plus years, many summers were spent enjoying "KEEFE'S KAMP" on the shore of Lake Bomoseen. During his "golden years", he and his wife were blessed to winter in Lake Wales, Fla. Always the bargain hunter, David got the most bang for his buck! He was married on Sept. 3, 1955, to his bride, Emily M. Wetherby, they would have celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary this fall.
