Obituary | Nov 1, 2004 | OBITUARY: Pittsfield, MA - Glee B. Gallup, 80, of 105 Greylock Terrace died Saturday at Berkshire Medical Center. Born in Brownington Center, Vt., on Feb. 19, 1924, daughter of Lyle and Lillian White Whitcomb, she was educated in schools there. She lived in New Lebanon, N.Y., for many years before moving to Pittsfield 20 years ago. Mrs. Gallup was a homemaker. She was an active member of Christian Assembly Church and enjoyed country music. Her husband, Weldon L. Gallup, whom she married in 1944 [17 May 1945] in Vermont, died Dec. 20, 1985. She leaves two sons, Paul L. Gallup and Melvin W. Gallup, both of New Lebanon; a daughter, Bevis F. Lind of New Lebanon; a brother, Neal Whitcomb of Peru; five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Funeral Notice - Services for Glee B. Gallup, 80, of Pittsfield, who died Oct. 30, 2004, will be conducted Wednesday at 1 at Dery Funeral Home by Pastor Doug Harding. Burial will be Thursday, Nov. 4, at 1 in Irasburg Cemetery, Irasburg, Vt. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 11 to 1, prior to the service. Glee will be greatly missed by her five grandchildren, JoAnna Phillips, Bonnie Manzolini, Nicole Gallup, and Trevor and Jean Patch, as well as by her five great-grandchildren, Danielle and Alyssa Phillips, Kyle Patch, and Samantha and Katarina Manzolini. Glee was also a special gram to Laurie DeFino. She was predeceased by two brothers and a sister.
