ObituaryJun 9, 1944  OBITUARY: Hiram Russell, 60, native of Montgomery Center, Vermont, died at his home Thursday, June 8 after about a year's illness with heart trouble. Funeral services were held at Glover Church June 11, and burial was in Glover Cemetery.

Mr Russell was born in Montgomery on August 27, 1884, the oldest son of Mr and Mrs William Russell. He was married to Margaret Poutry January 31, 1916. To this union were born seven children: Viola, (Mrs Arthur Buskey) Sutton, Vermont; Gladys (Mrs Archie Buskey) Barton, Vermont; Doris (Mrs Charles Sweeney) Plaistow; Edward, White River Junction, Vermont; Charlotte, (Mrs Arthur Parade) of Ashland; Mary (Mrs Proctor Phelps) Pittsford, Vermont; Eulalie of Ashland.

Relatives attending the funeral were Byron Russell and daughter, Mrs Arnold Ashe, Wallace Russell and family, Leonard Russell and family, Mr and Mrs Artie Semore, Mr and Mrs Bert Wheeler.
