ObituaryJul 7, 2006  OBITUARY: Larry LeRoy Davis, 70, of Dunham Street, Attleboro, died on Thursday, July 6, 2006 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro following a three-month hospitalization. He was the husband of Sally L. (Nordberg) Davis to whom he was married on April 12, 1969.

Born in South Hero, Vermont on April 19, 1936, he was a son of the late Robert Turner Davis and Ethel Ruth (Mashtare) Davis. He lived in Burlington, Vermont until moving to Attleboro 40 years ago.

Mr. Davis was a self-employed house painter for many years and also worked for several local contractors.

In Vermont, he was a member of the Moose Club and was an ardent fisherman and hunter.

He enjoyed the time spent wood crafting and was known for baking the "world's best" oatmeal cookies and enjoyed making donuts for his family.

In addition to his wife of 37 years, he leaves ten children: Robert T. Davis of St. Albans, Vermont; Karen L. Court of Wake Forest, North Carolina; Marylou Davis of Hardwick, Vermont; Larry L. Davis of Milton, Vermont; William A. Davis of South Hero, Vermont; Steven Heuther of Bennington, Vermont; Laura Davis Smith, Esquire of Coral Gables, Florida; Paul H. Davis of Attleboro; Ruth A. Davis of Vancouver, Washington and Melanie K. Moniz of Attleboro; 23 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; his siblings: Pauline Myers of Burlington, Vermont; Donald Davis of Ferrisburg, Vermont; Linda Georgie of Burlington, Vermont; Francis P. Davis of Claremont, New Hampshire and Veronica James of Bristol, Vermont and many nieces and nephews.

He was the father of the late Tina M. Davis and was the brother of the late Lillian Barrett, Loretta Hill and Kenneth Davis.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a Funeral Service on Tuesday, July 11, 2006 at 7:00 PM in the "Memorial Chapel" of the DYER-LAKE FUNERAL HOME, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, funeral home ¾ mile on the left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. Burial will be private in Grand Isle Cemetery, Grand Isle, Vermont.

Visitation will be held in the "Memorial Chapel" on Tuesday, July 11, 2006 from 4:00 – 6:45 PM prior to the commencement of funeral services at 7:00 PM.
