Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Rohde's funeral home with burial in West Brattleboro Cemetery.
She was born in Marlboro June 22, 1907, a daughter of the late Fred Akley and Minnie (Butterfield) Akley, now Mrs. Cheisie Crossmon of Vernon. Her father died 23 years ago. She was married on Dec. 27, 1923, to Edwin R. Amidon. Mrs. Amidon came here five years ago from Vernon. She leaves none children, Viloa, wife of Clyde Graves, Leona, Edwin, Ernestine, Freida, Francis, Reginald, Roberta and an infant daughter not yet named. She also leaves two sisters Mildred, wife of Frank Schumacher of Southport, Conn., and Birdie, wife of Henry Davidson of West Brattleboro; four brothers, Everett Akley of Halifax, Myron Akeley of West Dummerston, Freddie Akley of Troy, N.Y., and Oscar Akley of Warwick, Mass., and a step-brother, Walter Crossmon of Vernon. A sister, Lottie May Akley, died Oct. 8, 1918.
