Obituary | Sep 1, 2000 | OBITUARY: BARRE - Lina G. Smith, 89, of Washington Apartments, died Aug. 30, 2000, at Berlin Health and Rehabilitation Center, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Montgomery, March 4, 1911, the daughter of Laura Emery and Alex Laplant. She graduated from People's Academy in Morrisville in 1928. On Aug. 26, 1928, she married Milton G. Smith. She worked at Ready Company for 20 years. Mrs. Smith enjoyed flowers, crafts and garage sales. Survivors include a son, James E. Randall of Williamstown, five grand-children and five great-grandchildren. A son, Herbert S. Randall, predeceased her. In keeping with her wishes, there will be no services. Burial will be in Wilson Cemetery. The Eternal Flame Crematorium of Brattleboro was in charge of the cremation. Published in TheTimes Argus (Montpelier-Barre, VT) - Friday, September 1, 2000.2 |
