Obituary | Dec 20, 2011 | OBITUARY: FLORENCE J. PERYER, 93, of Rutland, VT died Friday morning Dec. 16, 2011, at the Rutland Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on Dec. 4, 1918, in Rutland, the daughter of Lawrence and Hattie (Raymond) Beaudry. Mrs. Peryer had been employed by the Killington Glove Factory for many years prior to her retirement. She was a member of the St. Peter’s Church. Mrs. Peryer loved flower gardening and enjoyed traveling, sewing, playing cards and westerns. She was an avid Yankees fan.
Survivors include a daughter, Elaine Dido and fiancé Steve Driga of West Rutland; three granddaughters, Debra Ferguson and her husband Thomas, Donna Patterson and her husband David, and Lisa Savoy and her husband Carey; three grandsons, Randy Dido (and Becca Marcille), David Generess and Raymond Generess Jr. (and Rose Scruton); her great-grandchildren, Michelle Ferguson,Kim Williams, Tracey Cole, Ashley Ferguson, Stausha Carlisle, David Patterson Jr., Ryan Dido and Jonathan Savoy; her great-great-grandchildren Riley Coombs, Zachary and Zoey Cole, Hailey and Chole, the twins Zoey and Sierra Carlisle, Emily and Autumn Patterson; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Ayres of West Pawlet; and two close nieces, Betty LaVictoire and Sandra Murrary. She was predeceased by her husband Newell Peryer on June 26, 1997; a daughter Patricia Generess on October 20, 2003; three sisters, Irene Bride, Edna O’Neil and Beatrice Nagy; a brother Leonard Beaudry; and two grandsons, Gary Generess and John Dido Jr. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 19, 2011, at the Aldous Funeral Home. Private burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Aldous Funeral Home.
