Obituary | May 19, 1989 | OBITUARY: James Edward Archambault, 68, of 276 Franklin St., Harrisonburg died early Thursday morning at his home. He had been ill for three months. Mr. Archambault was born Aug. 17, 1920, in Richford, Vt., and was a son of the late Eli Winfield and Lucille Lamelle Archambault. He served in the Army during World War II and was a member of the Bridgewater VFW. Mr. Archambault received a bachelor of science degree from Boston University. He moved to Harrisonburg from Riverside, Calif., in 1971. He attended Emmanuel Episcopal Church. Mr. Archambault retired in 1986 after 29 years as a cost accountant for Dunham-Bush. On Sept. 25, 1943, he married the former Rachel Columbia, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, four brothers, four sisters, two half sisters, and eight grandchildren. A graveside service will be conducted 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Woodbine Cemetery by Dr. William G. Mengebier. The family will receive friends 7-8 p.m. today at the Kyger & Trobaugh Funeral Home in Harrisonburg. Friends also may call at the Archambault home on Franklin Street.
