Obituary | Dec 11, 2005 | OBITUARY: Mrs. Olive Morton Legacy, 90, of Derby Line died peacefully December 10, 2005 in Newport. She was born June 23, 1915 in Quebec a daughter of Myron and Emma (Wilsey) Morse. In 1946 she married Elmo Legacy who predeceased her on December 12, 1991. Mrs. Legacy was a cook for the East Side Restaurant and the former Kelley’s Restaurant. She enjoyed knitting and making afgans for everyone and she also enjoyed living at Michaud Manor. She is survived by a son Irving Morton and his wife Anna of Livingston,Texas, by a step daughter Ivah Chaput and her husband Felix,Sr of Derby and their eight children, and by a step son Walter Legacy and his wife Lorraine of Florida and their six children. She is survived by two grandchildren Scott Morton and his wife Mary of Huntington, Maryland, and Michael Morton and his wife Audrey of Alberquerque, NM, seven great-grandchildren, 26 step great-grandchildren, and by 23 step great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by the following brothers and sisters: Harold, Maurice, and Edwin Morse, Marcella Hornburger, Ellen McCauley, and Arlene Ingalls. Friends may call from 7-9 P.M. Monday December 12, 2005 at the Curtis-Britch-Converse-Rushford Funeral Home, 4670 Darling Hill Road, Newport,(formerly Sias Ave) where funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday December 13, 2005 with the Rev. Roger Fletcher officiating. Spring Interment in Derby Cemetery.
