Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday at 2:00 PM, at Carlisle Funeral Home with the Rev. Ed Conner officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
He is survived by his loving family, including wife of 75 years, Elizabeth Shaw Rountree; daughters, Phyllis Parisher, and husband, Joe of Tarboro, Kay Rice, and husband, R.L. of Newport, Patsy Rosenkoetter, and husband, Mike of Tarboro, sons, Donald E. Rountree, and wife, Shelby of Tarboro, Tim Rountree, and wife, Marilyn of Apex Gene Rountree, and wife, Catherine of Red Oak; 12 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends and relatives Thursday from 12:00-2:00 p.m. at Carlisle Funeral Home, and other times at the home at 202 Hall St.,Tarboro.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cobb Memorial Presbyterian Church, 701 Sunset Ave., Tarboro, NC 27886.
