| Obituary | Feb 3, 1965 | OBITUARY: Tunbridge – Edward Greenwood, 81, died Monday evening following a short illness. Born Sept. 19, 1883 in Newbury, he was the son of Sinia and Cecilia (Cutting) Greenwood. He attended school in Wells River. He married Della Sanborn of Vershire Aug. 17, 1903. They came to Tunbridge and farmed for several years before moving to Hanover, N.H., and working for Dartmouth College. Later, he was a salesman for 18 years for the Inn Garage in Hanover. Following his retirement, he lived the past five years with his son, Paul F., in West Lebanon. Mrs. Greenwood died in 1930. Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Arthur (Dorothy) Tousignant of Santa Rose, Calif., Mrs. Walter (Abbie) French of Hartford, Mrs. Kenneth (Rena) Stoddard of North Swanzey, N.H., and Mrs. Hope Cutler of New York City; two sons, Paul S., West Lebanon, N.H., and Pearl J., of Wilder; a brother, William Greenwood of Wells River; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a nephew, Bruce Greenwood, of Ferndale, Mich. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the local Congregational Church. The Rev. Daniel Richter, pastor of the Chelsea United Church, will officiate. Entombment will follow in the Tunbridge Cemetery pending burial in the Springroad Cemetery next spring. There are no calling hours. The Boardway and Cilley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
