Obituary | Jan 2, 2009 | OBITUARY: SOUTH FRANKLIN – Mary E. Larose, age 96, widow of Raymond Larose, passed away Wednesday morning December 31, 2008 at the St. Albans Health & Rehab facility in St. Albans. She was born September 4, 1912 in Bakersfield the daughter of the late Gordon & Eva (LaFountain) Marshia. Mary was a resident of South Franklin since 1945. She was employed at the Franklin Central School as a teacher’s aide for many years. Mary enjoyed being a homemaker as well as gardening & knitting. She is survived by her son, Raymond “Sonny” Larose, Jr. of South Franklin; her daughter Jeanette Rutherford Hagerstown, MD; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; her sister, Florence Nolan of Enosburg Falls; several nieces and nephews including a special niece, Henke Green of Enosburg Falls. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Raymond Larose in 1983; a grandson, Terrance Larose in 1999; a daughter-in-law, Sheila Larose in 2007, and a son-in-law, Carl Rutherford in 2001. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon January 4, 2009 at 2:00 PM at the Spears Funeral Home, 96 Dickinson Ave., Enosburg Falls with Pastor Patrick Hoadley officiating. Interment will be at the East Franklin Cemetery in the spring. There will be no visiting hours.
