Obituary | Feb 1, 1964 | OBITUARY: James R. Blackie, 93, Ex-Railroad Man, Dies: NEW HAVEN - James R. Blackie of 1 Stoddard Road died at Grace-New Haven Hospital this morning. He was 93. Born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, he had resided in this area more than 60 years. He was a retired employee of the New Haven Railroad. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Emily Alling of East Haven; a son, David R. Blackie of Hamden; and five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
