| Obituary | Jun 26, 2022 | OBITUARY: MERIDEN - Francis J. Rusczek, 74, of Meriden, passed away in the early hours of June 15, 2022, surrounded by loved ones. Son of the late Joseph and Ann Rusczek, Fran was born on July 31, 1947, in Wallingford, CT. Fran attended Lyman Hall high school and graduated from Sacred Heart University. Fran was a dedicated psychiatric social worker for children, at Riverview Hospital in Middletown, CT, for thirty years. He is survived by his wife, Joan, his daughter and son in law, Wendy and Chris Luce and his beloved grandsons Zachary, Cameron and Jackson; a sister, Linda Rusczek of Middletown, CT; a brother Robert Rusczek (Cindy) of Wilberham, MA, and he is predeceased by his brother Frederick (Margaret) of Harpswell, ME, and several nieces and nephews. Fran developed a love of hunting and fishing while growing up in the farmlands of Wallingford. He loved early mornings and sailing on his boat. Most of all, he loved his family. He grew beautiful & plentiful gardens. He was genuine and could do anything. He gave without taking; taught without lecturing and loved without condition. He will be sorely missed by many.
