Obituary  OBITUARY: BERKSHIRE- Donald M. Couture, age 74, passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at the McClure Miller Respite House in Colchester.

He was born in St. Albans on September 16, 1948 to the late Martin and Audrey (Tourangeau) Couture.

Donald grew up on a farm in Berkshire, attended a two-room schoolhouse for primary school and graduated from Richford High School in 1966. After graduation he worked for Sweat-Comings, and then Blue Seal Feeds where he retired after over 25 years all while maintaining seven cemeteries in the area. Donald was an active member of All Saints Catholic Church in Richford, where he was a proud member of the Knight of Columbus serving as the secretary for nearly 20 years, and was also a member of the Sons of the American Legion in Enosburg. He looked forward to playing cribbage and bowling, was a collector of coins and magazines, and had a lifelong love of horses. When Donald wasn't working, which was rare, he enjoyed listening to podcasts, watching westerns, puttering around his property on his tractor, and attending family gatherings. He was easy-going, knew how to enjoy life, and always put his family first.

He is survived by his children, Keshia Passonno and her husband Catlin of Berkshire, and Kiela Kilburn of St. Albans; 7 grandchildren; siblings, Deborah Tipper of Berkshire, Michael Couture of Berkshire, and Cynthia Dunakin and her husband Alton of Richford; a special uncle, Fred "Jr." Tourangeau; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Donald is predeceased by a brother-in-law, James Tipper; sister-in-law, Mary Couture; and nephew, Howard Tipper.

Family and friends are invited to Donald's Life Celebration events on Saturday, August 19, 2023 to include visitation from 11:00 AM - Noon at The Goss-Spears Life Celebration Home, 96 Dickinson Ave., Enosburg Falls, VT 05450 with a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 PM at All Saints Catholic Church, 152 Main St, Richford, VT 05476 burial will follow in the All Saints Catholic Cemetery in Richford.
