His wife, Alma, died from injuries resulting from a Train, on April 21, 1905 in Northumberland, NH.

On May 28, 1906 in Groveton, NH he married Harriett B. Hodge, daughter of Ida Hodge and Eliza Ingerson. They divorced before 1913 (probably about 1910). She married Carl A. Pike in July 1913 and Freeland married Winifred Stevens in May 1913.

On May 7, 1913 in Littleton, NH he married Winifred Stevens, daughter of Gardner Stevens and Ellen Burns.

They don't appear to have had children.

Winifred died in St. Johnsbury, VT in Sept 1930 and is buried in Whitefield with her parents.

On April 25, 1931 in North Woodstock, NH he married Katherine (Hartshorn) Mullen, daughter of Henry Hartshorn and Jennie Briggs, and widow of Elkie E. Mullen.
