Obituary | Nov 12, 1924 | OBITUARY: Mrs. Fred Morrill of Bristol, Vt. passed away that night about eleven o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Arthur Farnham on 322 Elm Street in this city whom she had her visiting for the past two weeks. Mrs. Morrill had been for ill health since last June, her condition gradually becoming more serious, so desiring to remain with her daughter for a time came to Montpelier about two weeks ago. Lillian Liberty Morrill, 38 years of age, was born July 7, 1886, in Starksboro, the daughter of Levi and Laura (Russell) Liberty. Her early life was spent in that town but at an early age, she went to New York state she resided for some time. The deceased returned to Vermont, and after residing in several different towns, finally made her home in Bristol, where she resided at the time of her demise.The deceased married Fred Morrill in Huntington, September 25, 1902. Besides her husband, Mrs. Morrill is survived by five children, Mrs. Arthur Farnham of this city, and Daniel, Beatrice, Melvin and Amelia Morrill, all of Bristol, Vt. One grandson, Daniel Farnham of this city, is also surviving. Three brothers and two sisters also survive the deceased. Lote Liberty of Springfield, Mass., Andrew Liberty of Huntington, Mrs. Frank Morrill of Monkton and Mrs. Laura Van Wagner of Albany, N.Y. Three uncles Luther Russeill of this city, Alan Russell of Burlington and Howland Russell of Waitsfield are also surviving. Mrs. Morrill was a member of the Methodist church and a woman who was well known and well liked in the community where she lived. Her demise will be mourned by the many friends and acquaintances who knew her as well as by her family. The funeral will be held Friday afternoon at one o'clock from the Methodist church in Bristol and burial will be in Green Mountain cemetery in that town.
