Obituary | Mar 31, 2005 | OBITUARY: RICHFORD -- Mary Olive Stetson, age 91, passed away Wednesday March 30, 2005 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born September 8, 1913 in Richford the daughter of the late Hibbard P. & Olive (Hicks) Guilmette. was a life long resident of Richford and a member of All Saints Catholic Church in Richford. She was a dental assistant for Dr. Towle for many years. She also cleaned homes and baby sat for many families in the area. She was a giving and caring mother, grandmother and friend. Her door was always opened for any one who needed a warm place or something to eat. She is survived by her children, Roland "Junior" Stetson Jr., and Kathleen DiPerna both of Richford; her grandchildren, Cheryl Dinsmore, Marylee Stetson, Lori Couture, Leonard Stetson, George Olio, and Kellie Olio; 17 great grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren; a sister, Louise R. Doe of Richford; a brother-in-law, Jack Pevo of Odessa, NY; several nieces and nephews; her care giver for the past 13 years, George Ryea of Richford. She was predeceased by her husband, Roland Stetson Sr. in 1976; 2 sisters, Frances E. Pevo, and Lora A. Dougherty. Funderal services will be held Saturday April 2, 2005 at 11:00 AM at All Saints Catholic Church in Richford with Rev. Frank Eksterowicz celebrating the mass of Christian burial. Interment will be later this spring in All Saints Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held Friday from 6-9 PM at the Spears Funeral Home, 140 Main St., Richford.
