Obituary | Feb 6, 2015 | OBITUARY: ENOSBURG FALLS - Georgette G. Gervais, age 93, passed away Thursday, February 05, 2015 at the Burlington Health & Rehab Facility. She was born July 21, 1921 in Richford the daughter of the late George & Amanda J. (Cote) Godin. She was a resident of Enosburg Falls & Richford most of her life and a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Enosburg Falls and the Ladies of St. Ann Society. She was employed at the former Whiting's Flower Shop as a bookkeeper for 14 years, a cook at the Dairy Center for 13 years, and owned and operated a greenhouse on the Boston Post Road for 14 years. Georgette enjoyed creating many different types of crafts especially painting & cornhusk dolls which she took to peddle at craft shows. She also made wedding cakes and gardened. She took great pride in refurbishing statues at many of the area Catholic churches. She is survived by her children, Helen Bushey and her husband Donald of Bakersfield, Robert Gervais and his wife Gisele of Enosburgh, Marcel Gervais and his wife Donna of Swanton, Carol Ann Wickert and her husband Dean of Palm Coast, FL, and Rose-Marie Manahan and her husband Timothy of Grand Isle; 26 Grandchildren, 68 great grandchildren, 16 Great Great Grandchildren; 2 nephews and 1 niece. Besides her parents, Georgette was predeceased by her 1st husband, Gordon Garrow in 1947; her 2nd husband Antonio Gervais in 1983; her sisters, Marie Rose Brouillette, Aurora Peters & Mable Godin. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 9, 2015 at 11:00 AM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 222 Missisquoi St, Enosburg Falls with Rev. Roger Charbonneau celebrating the Mass of Christian burial. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery in Richford. Visiting hours will be held Sunday from 4-7 at the Spears Funeral Home, 96 Dickinson Ave., Enosburg Falls.
