Obituary | Jun 17, 2001 | OBITUARY: THERESA F. (GARROW) LANGLAIS, 68, of Winooski, VT succumbed to a losing battle with cancer Saturday, June 16, 2001, in Fletcher Allen Health Care, in Burlington.
She was born Sept. 23, 1932, in Sheldon, the daughter of Harland and Beatrice (Brown) Garrow. She was an avid bingo player and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She will be a part of our lives forever, and the “Wind Beneath Our Wings.” She is survived by her partner of 30 years, Arthur Tatro of Burlington, who loved her dearly; her four children, Carol Langlais of Burlington, Mike and Celeste Langlais of Winooski, Cathy and her friend, Bill Billings of Winooski and Rick and Lori Langlais of Winooski; seven grandchildren, Sara, Jamie, Tyler, Mikayla, Derrick, Taylor and Michael Langlais; four sisters, Antoinette Dragon of Highgate Center, Shirley Brighty of Hudson, NY, Betty Wedge of Hudson, and Pauline Myott of Enosburg Falls; nieces and nephews; and her special friends Cora and Ronnie Holcomb and Ruth Miller. She was predeceased by her husband, Raoul Langlais; her parents; two sisters Leona Ellis and Barbara McClairen; and one brother, Paul Garrow.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 21, 2001, at the chapel of Corbin and Palmer Funeral Home, 71 S. Union St., Burlington, with burial to follow in Fort Ethan Allen Cemetery in Colchester. There are no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Visiting Nurse Association, Home Care Program, 1110 Prim Road, Suite 1, Colchester, VT 05446.
