| Obituary | Dec 2, 2015 | OBITUARY: Mr. Henry Richard Tillman, 104, of Winston-Salem, passed away Sunday, December 1, 2015 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born August 29, 1911 in Baltimore, MD to Mary Moran Tillman and John Henry Tillman. Mr. Tillman was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Mae Kreeger Tillman; two sisters, Mary Burkhardt and Elizabeth Kroneberger; and two brothers, Irvin Tillman and John Tillman. Surviving are one son, Richard C. Tillman and wife Lyn; one daughter Carol J. Rubright and husband Ken; three grandchildren, Stacy, Shelly, and Michael; and nieces and nephews, Patsy, Susan, Helen, I.C., and Mary Elizabeth. Mr. Tillman retired from Western Electric at 62 years of age. He was an avid golfer and a man of deep faith. He was a member of Pine Primitive Baptist Church. A funeral service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Friday, December 4, 2015 at Parklawn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Elder David Anderson officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 PM at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. Memorials may be made to Pine Primitive Baptist Church, 280 Allred Rd., Lexington, NC 27295.
