Miss Hofler, a native of Gates County, was retired manager of the Gates Branch of First Citizens Bank. She was a member of Damascus Christian Church.
Survivors include two sisters, Elizabeth Elmore of Edenton and Marie Hofler of Sunbury; and two brothers, W. H. Hofler Jr. of Williamston and Willard Hofler of Elizabeth City.
A graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday in Damascus Christian Church Cemetery by Dr. Kenneth Word and the Rev. Riddick Pearce. Twiford's Memorial Chapel, Elizabeth City, is in charge of arrangements.
