ObituaryNov 15, 2023  OBITUARY: Belchertown MA—Earle H. Atwell, 84, passed away November 5 2023. He was born on October 18, 1939, in North Adams, MA to Earle G. And Dorothy (Shepard) Atwell. Earle lived in Belchertown since 1956. He worked as a carpenter and then worked as the Head Janitor for Amherst Pelham School System and after he retired from there, he drove for Hulmes Transportation.

Earle enjoyed his daily walks on the Norwottuck Rail Trail, playing guitar, and listening to country music. He was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan and loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his wife Nancy (Capen) Atwell, his stepdaughter Jo-Anne, his son-in-law Michael, and his 13 siblings and 4 stepsiblings.

He is survived by his son, daughter, brother and sister. He also leaves 5 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on November 21, 2023 at 11am at South Cemetery in Belchertown.
