ObituaryJul 14, 2012  OBITUARY: Allen was born on May 9, 1924 and passed away peacefully at home July 8, 2012 at the age of 88. He was a beloved, respected and cherished husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Iris; daughter Elaine; son Toby; daughter Melody; son Curtis; 13 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Allen was born in PA and in his teens relocated to ID. After his 4 years of naval service, he and his wife settled in Mira Loma, CA in 1950 where they bought an acre of land. There he built his family home, farmed and hobbied in wood work. In 1982 he retired from the Riverside DOT Road Maintenance division after 32 years of dedication. He loved whole-heartedly his family, friends and church. He will be missed and fondly remembered. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 17 at 11AM at Pierce Bros. Crestlawn Memorial Chapel.
