ObituaryJun 13, 1993  OBITUARY: Bernice Hoffler Freeman, a homemaker, died June 11, 1993, in her home. Mrs. Freeman was born in Eure. She was a member of Eure Baptist Church, Woman's Missionary Union and a former member of the church choir. She was a member of the Gatesville Chapter of the Eastern Star and was the widow of James L. Freeman.
Survivors include a daughter, Lela Freeman Joyner of Suffolk, Va; a son, James Olney Freeman of Chesapeake, Va; and five grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Garrett Funeral Home, Ahoskie, by the Rev. Joe Buck. Burial will be in Cool Spring Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today and other times at Mrs. Freeman's residence.
