Obituary | Sep 10, 2017 | OBITUARY: LITTLETON, NH -- Dale A. Simpson, age 75, died on Friday, September 8, 2017 at the Riverglen House assisted living community in Littleton, NH. He was born on January 15, 1942 in Littleton, NH to Harry and Florence (Trevena) Simpson. Dale was raised by his grandparents Stephen and Alice Trevena until their deaths and then by his uncle Lawrence Trevena on the family farm in Lisbon. He attended and graduated from Lisbon High School. He went on to serve in the US Army. Dale married Catherine Knapp on September 7, 1968. Together they had a daughter and a son. He enjoyed attending local sporting events. Dale enjoyed hunting, fishing and working the family land, especially sugaring with the family. He was also very fond of spending time with his grandchildren and sought to teach and pass along his knowledge and life experiences. When living in Lisbon, he was a volunteer on the Lisbon Fire Department, and a member of the Whitefield Fire Department when living in Whitefield. Dale was also a member of the Whitefield Lions Club. He served on the Planning Board for several years while living in Columbia. He worked for Public Service for 38 years, first reading meters in Lisbon, then as a lineman in Whitefield and Columbia, before retiring in 2006 as a working Foreman. Dale is survived by his son Craig and (Heidi) Simpson; 7 grandchildren; Grace, Mercy, Piper, Patience, Josiah, Micah and Noah; and former spouse Catherine Knapp. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kelly Connell.
