Obituary | Aug 10, 2006 | OBITUARY: Irma G. Ward Buhl Irma G. Ward Buhl, 86, formerly of Millcreek Twp., passed away Wednesday, August 9, 2006 at the Village at Luther Square. Born in Monroe, N.H. on December 7, 1919, she was a daughter of the late Victor and Gertrude (Champany) Ward. She was a graduate of Academy High School, and had worked at Alley Aids. She enjoyed bowling, embroidery and needlework. Irma was a member of Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, "Ann's Circle" and the "Double Nickel (over55)" groups. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Buhl, in 1991; a daughter, Carolyn Griffin; a sister, Lillian Edmonds; and a brother, Bob Blackman. Survivors include a son, Robert E. Buhl, wife, Carol, Erie; four grandchildren, William Arkwright, wife, Josie, of Cranesville, Sandy Schatz of Aberdeen, S.D., Ernie Buhl, wife, Janice, of Erie, and Teresa Hayes, husband, Sean, of Waterford; nine great-grandchildren; three brothers, Lawrence Ward, of Erie, Hubert Ward, of Rocky Point, N.C., and William Blackman, of Erie; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Brugger Home for Funerals, 1595 W. 38th St. at Greengarden Blvd., on Thursday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Services will be held there on Friday at 11:30 a.m. with Rev. Richard K. Schultz officiating. Burial will be in Erie Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt.
