GRAVESTONE INSCRIPTION:
Here lies buried
the body of
Mr. RICHARD RICH
who died May ye 3d
1743 in ye
69th year of his age.

The inscription is from the Shebnah Rich book Truro - Cape Cod page 556. The Old North Cemetery survey published by the Rich Family Association in 1971 indicates the gravestone exists but is illegible. The gravestone is #364 on the cemetery map.³

Jonathan died before his youngest child Lois was born.⁴
