She was a nurse and worked at the Manhattan Eye & Ear Hospital in New York City. She was Presbyterian and a world traveler. She enjoyed gardening. Survivors include two sons, Donald K. Ernst, Albuquerque, N.M., and David Ernst, Pleasantville, N.Y; a daughter, Susan Faranda, White Plains, N.Y; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Moss-Feaster Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, Serenity Gardens Chapel, Largo.
