ObituaryNov 10, 1938  OBITUARY: Jacob S. Shiflett, of the Blue Industrial School, in Greene County, died at 3 o’clock Saturday afternoon at his home, after an extended illness. He was a native of Albemarle, son of the late Bland and Mary Shiflett and was 75 years of age. He is survived by his wife Mary lamb Shiflett, two daughters and four sons—Mrs. John Shiflett and Mrs. Scofield Shiflett, both of Greene county; Floyd and Emory Shiflett of Greene county; Warner Shiflett of Crozet and W. U. Shiflett of Charlottesville. Interment was held at 2 o’clock Tuesday afternoon in the family cemetery near Boonesville.
