Obituary | Apr 9, 1970 | OBITUARY: Mrs. Edna Shifflette, 64, of Hinckley died April 3, 1970 at East Moline. She was born July 17, 1905 at Marseilles, the daughter of Edward and Laura (Rose) Gage. She married Ervin (Ted) Shifflette December 8, 1923 at Morris. She was a member of the Hinckley United Methodist Church and the Order of Eastern Star. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Milan, of Hinckley and Theodore of Aurora; four daughters, Mrs. Bruce (Mildred) Dummer of Park Ridge, Mrs. Myrl (Shirley) Rissman, Mrs. LeRoy (Arlene) Madsen, and Mrs. Floyd (Marilea) Kaus, all of Hinckley; two brothers, Earl and Harry Gage, both of Ottawa; two sisters, Mrs. Joe (Marie) Knott of Ottawa and Mrs. James (Esther) Phillips of Denver, CO; 17 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Nash Memorial Chapel with the Rev. James O. Davis officiating. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery, Hinckley.
