Obituary | Jun 29, 2012 | OBITUARY: FLORIDA -- Stephen Belida, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, son, and veteran, passed away June 23, 2012, at the age of 83, at Hope Hospice, Fort Myers, FL. Steve was born March 17, 1929 in Chelmsford, MA to Steve and Mary Belida. Steve was drafted into the Army in his early 20s and served during the Korean War. On Sept. 19, 1954, he married the love of his life, Anne Belida to whom he was married for 58 years. Steve elevated people to the dance floor with his stellar band and incomparable showmanship. He was the officer of the commissary at Hanscom Air force Base in Bedford, MA. He won multiple government awards as a leader in excellence while raising a beautiful daughter and two sons. Steve was preceded in death by his daughter, Debra Belida Ashe, who passed away May 2006. He is survived by his wife, Anne Belida; his sons, Stephen Belida and wife, Gwen Arment, Brian Belida and wife, Rose Ingrassia-Belida; five loving grandchildren, Sharon Thomson and husband, Tommy Thomson, Ryan Ashe and wife, Erika Ashe, Stephen Ashe and fiancée, Emily Measelle, Zach Belida and Sara Belida; and five great-grandsons, Tyler, Drake and Tate Thomson, and Beckett and Keegan Ashe.
