He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and a member of the American Legion Post #42 of Enosburg Falls.

He is survived by his wife Doris (LaHue) Johnson of Marshfield, several step-children and grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held in Barnegat, NJ with burial in the Masonic Cemetery of Barnegat.
